National theatre Festival is a theatre festival initiated in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 2022 by Abhiyan theatre Group which was established by Shri Narayan Pandey & supported by Drama Talkies. Abhiyan theatre group orchestrated more than 100 plays and over 250 nukkad nataks. It has been a known group in India has now become one of the biggest theatre group for there commendable work. National theatre Festival has been a great platform where more than 200 artists & 10 plays will shown their creativity and work. It has evolved to National & International scope, hosting theatre companies from around the India & world.

The 1st National theatre festival will include several national plays performances, and various associated events in a wrap-around festival.

ड्रामा टॉकीज़, मुंबई | नाटक - जीना इसी का नाम है
निर्देशक- सुरेश भारद्वाज

प्रसिद्ध अभिनेत्री हिमानी शिवपुरी और ख्यातिलब्ध कलाकार राजेन्द्र गुप्ता द्वारा अभिनीत नाटक 'जीना इसी का नाम है' अर्बुजोव के मूल रूसी नाटक 'इयू सोमरसाल्ट से प्रेरित है। प्रसिद्ध निर्देशक एवं अद्वितीय प्रकाश डिजाइनर सुरेश भारद्वाज द्वारा निर्देशित यह नाटक आम जीवन की कशमकश में खुशियाँ ढूंढ लेने की रोचक दास्तान है।

भोजपुरी भाषा के शेक्सपियर कहे जाने वाले महान लोक कलाकार भिखारी ठाकुर द्वारा लिखित 'बिदेसिया' बिहार की लोक नाट्यशैली का मानक है। संगीत, परिकल्पना और निर्देशन चर्चित रंग निर्देशक श्री संजय उपाध्याय का है, जिन्होंने इस नाटक का मंचन देश-विदेश में सैकड़ों बार किया है। पलायन की समस्या की मार्मिक संगीत प्रस्तुति भाव जगत को उद्वेलित कर एक नया आयाम गढ़ती है।

निर्देशक - जॉय मीतेई

प्रसिद्ध हिन्दी लेखक धर्मवीर भारती द्वारा लिखित और एन०एस०डी० तथा लंदन इण्टरनेशनल स्कूल ऑफ परफार्मिंग आर्ट्स, लंदन द्वारा प्रशिक्षित सुविख्यात निर्देशक जॉय मिताई द्वारा निर्देशित यह नाटक महाभारत के अंतिम दिन की गाथा है। सायको- फिजिकल (Psychophysical) स्टाइल का यह नाटक युद्ध और विनाश, करुणा और मानवता, हिंसा और एथिक्स का रोमांचकारी आख्यान है।

निर्देशक- व्योमेश शुक्ला

महाकवि सूर्यकांत त्रिपाठी 'निराला' द्वारा रचित काव्य 'राम की शक्तिपूजा की रंग प्रस्तुति प्रसिद्ध निर्देशक व्योमेश शुक्ल की है। गोरखपुर रंग महोत्सव में इस नाटक की 94वाँ प्रस्तुति है। इसकी विशेष बात है कि मुख्य भूमिका लड़कियाँ ही निभाती है और यह प्रयोग रामलीला का काउण्टर प्रयोग है। युद्धरत राम का अवसाद और फिर शक्ति का संचार लोमहर्षक और भाव विभोर कर देने वाली सांगीतिक गाथा है।

प्रसिद्ध रंगकर्मी और नाटकों में सौन्दर्यशास्त्र, मनोविज्ञान और सामाजिक मुद्दों को एक उपकरण की तरह प्रयोग करने वाले प्रयोगधर्मी लेखक आशीष पाठक द्वारा लिखित और एन. एस. डी. से प्रशिक्षित स्वाती दूबे द्वारा निर्देशित "भूमि" महाभारत के वनपर्व की पृष्ठभूमि पर आधारित है। स्त्री कोई भूमि नहीं, यह स्थापना मिथकों, स्त्री-पुरुष संबंधों से होते हुए संपूर्ण मानव जाति को छूती है और निर्णय भविष्य पर छोड़ देती है। इंटेंस अभिनय से भरपूर यह प्रस्तुति रोमांचकारी है।

OUR VISION

National Theatre Festival is being organized by Abhiyan Theatre Group, Gorakhpur from 1 to 5 November 2023 this year. Under this, excellent theatrical institutions will be called from all over India. A discussion on theatre/films will also be organized on this occasion, in which Theatre analysts/critics from all over the country are being invited. Book exhibition, painting exhibition will also be organized in this function.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL DIRECTOR

Shri Narayan Pandey founder chairman of Abhiyan Theatre Group & convenor of festival, is an Indian theatre Director known for his predominantly in Theatre. He was born on 9th September 1969 in Gorakhpur (U.P). He completed his schooling and did graduation from Gorakhpur. His professional career in theatre began in 1991.

Later, he joined the Theatre training workshop organised by National school of drama & Sangeet Natak Akademi in the year 1992 to 1994. He was also trained under the guidance of theatre professional like Mohan upreti, Suresh Sharma, Alok chatterjee, Afsar Hussain, Surendra Sharma, & Late Nirmal Pandey. He has also established his own theatre group named Abhiyan theatre Group to promote quality art and also organised workshops, and stage acts. Abhiyan theatre group is successfully running a leading theatre group in gorakhpur.

Dr. Harshvardhan Rai, who is an M.B.B.S from Patna Medical college, M.S from G.R.Medical College, Gwalior and a trainee from Maulana Azad Medical College Delhi is Practicing Surgery in Gorakhpur and also playing an important role in the field of Literature, Music, Theatre, Cinema and other Art works. From the last 2 years, 'Gorakhpur Literary Festival' has gained a reputed and greater heights under his leadership. He is well known personality in Gorakhpur and has immense respect for his work in the field of Medical Science and Art.

ABOUT DRAMA TALKIES

Drama Talkies is a flagship venture setup in 2016 by actor-founder Rajiv Mishra to promote quality art and cinema. The organization creates opportunities to hone the talented young minds by organizing theatrical plays; Acting and direction skill-development workshops; mentoring sessions by Bollywood stalwarts and finally providing them a renowned platform to showcase their talent. Our core team comprise of NSD, FTII alumni and actors from Bollywood. Drama talkies plays has performed at many prominent art platform of the country. We strongly believe in art's accessibility to all and implements on this belief by taking its productions beyond the indian metros to the innumerable towns and districts usually omitted by the regular theatre circuit.
